Day 01 Guwahati to Kaziranga National park (240km/5hrs)
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or railway station, our representative will greet you. We will begin our journey to Kaziranga National Park, approximately a 5-hour drive.(Departure should be before 12 pm). Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to the iconic one-horned rhinoceros and rich biodiversity. Its vast grasslands, wetlands, and dense forests offer an unforgettable wildlife safari experience. Upon reaching Kaziranga National Park, check in at a cozy and homely resort surrounded by lush greenery and scenic walking trails.

Day 02 Sightseeing in Kaziranga National Park
Early in the morning, embark on an elephant safari inside the park, offering a close-up view of various wild animals, especially the one-horned rhino and royal bengal tiger. After the morning safari, return to the hotel for breakfast. After some refreshment visit Kaziranga Orchid Park which is a vibrant cultural hub showcasing Northeast India’s largest collection of orchids, traditional dance, local crafts, traditional tools, textiles etc. Don’t miss the chance to savor authentic Assamese cuisine here.
In the afternoon, go for a Jeep safari in the western range of the park to explore different areas of the Park, encountering diverse wildlife and scenic landscapes. Return to the resort in the evening for a comfortable night’s stay.

Day 03 Kaziranga National park to Kohima (225km/6hrs)
After breakfast, bid farewell to Kaziranga National Park and start the journey to Kohima the capital of Nagaland, which takes around 6-7 hours. The road to Kohima leads you throw the stunning hills of Nagaland. Kohima, the charming capital of Nagaland, sits at an altitude of approximately 1,444 meters above sea level, offering cool mountain air and scenic vistas. Rich in history and culture, it’s best known for the WWII memorial and rich heritage. Upon arrival, check in at a comfortable hotel in Kohima and rest for the night.

Day 04 Kohima to Hornbill Festival ground at Kisama
Start your morning by heading to Kisama Heritage Village, the heart of the Hornbill Festival tour in Nagaland. Known as the "Festival of Festivals", the Hornbill Festival is the most iconic and vibrant cultural event in Northeast India, held annually from 1st to 10th December. This unforgettable Hornbill Festival itinerary offers a spectacular glimpse into the traditions, music, dance, and heritage of Nagaland’s many tribes.
Spend the day immersed in lively cultural performances, traditional Naga dances, folk songs, dance drama and tribal music. Explore stalls filled with handcrafted Naga textiles, bamboo and cane products, and indigenous artwork. Visit the Morungs (tribal huts) of various Naga tribes, engage with locals, and learn about their rich history and way of life. Don’t forget to sample authentic Naga cuisine, with dishes like smoked pork, bamboo shoot curry, and millet-based snacks.
The festival grounds also host unique experiences such as traditional archery, wrestling matches, hornbill concert and other indigenous games. In the evening return back to your stay in Kohima.

Day 05 Kisama Heritage Village
Today after breakfast you can go to Kisama Heritage village again and enjoy activities in the Hornbill Festival which include various cultural programs, games and other programs that held at the festival ground and return to your stay in the evening.

Today morning after breakfast go for local visit in Kohima city. Starting with the Kohima Cathedral, World War II Cemetery, Nagaland State Museum, Local market and tanks used during World War II.
In the afternoon, drive to Khonoma Green Village.
Khonoma Green Village is a picturesque and eco-friendly village. Known for its rich cultural heritage and sustainable practices, it is often referred to as the first green village in India. It was an important point during world war. The village has a history of resistance against British colonial rule, notably during the Battle of Khonoma in 1879. This village is inhabitant by Angami Naga tribe. This village is recognized for its efforts in forest conservation and sustainable living.
You can visit the forts built during World war- II, stroll through the alleys, visit the Morung and observe the daily life of villagers, the local craftsmanship and culture. Experience traditional Naga hospitality by staying in an Angami tribe's homestay and enjoying authentic Naga food.

Day 07 Khonoma to Dimapur/Guwahati
Early in the morning, explore Khonoma village on foot with a local guide, capturing photos and learning about the local culture and the stories of the Khonoma war. Visit Khonoma fort and Murung and return to your homestay. After a hearty breakfast, start the return journey towards Dimapur or Guwahati and your 7 days Hornbill festival tour with a heavy heart.
