Day 01 Guwahati arrival - Kamakhya temple visit
On the first day of the Assam Meghalaya Arunachal Pradesh tour, upon arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, our representative will greet you and welcome to your hotel. After freshen up visit Maa Kamakhya Temple. If time permits enjoy sunset river cruise in Brahmaputra river and return to your hotel in the evening.

Day 02 Guwahati to Kaziranga (204km/4.5hrs)
Morning after breakfast, begin your journey to Kaziranga National Park, home to the famed one-horned rhinoceros. The 4-5 hour drive offers scenic views of Assam’s countryside. Upon reaching Kaziranga, check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, enjoy a vibrant cultural performance at Orchid Park.

Day 03 Kaziranga Safari
Wake up early in the morning and go for a thrilling Elephant safari to explore the vast grasslands of Kaziranga.
After that have your breakfast at hotel and take some rest and visit Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity park to witness a stunning collection of orchids and exotic plants. There you can enjoy local food and sweets.
In the afternoon at around 2 pm embark on a jeep safari in the western range of the park and watch out for the range of exotic flora and fauna especially the one-horned rhinos, hog deer, wild elephants, elusive Bengal tiger etc.
After an exciting day relax for the night enjoying some local cuisines.

Day 04 Kaziranga to Bomdila (214km/5.5hrs)
Early morning after breakfast continue your journey to Arunachal Pradesh and halt at Bomdila for the night.
On the way we cross beautiful town Bhalukpong and Tenga valley. The stunning landscape throughout the trip will leave you in awe.
Enroute visit the Tipi Orchidarium and watch the vast collection of beautiful orchids and trees. On reaching Bomdila, check in at the hotel and visit the serene Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gompa) before resting for the night.

Day 05 Bomdila to Tawang (178km/7hrs)
Begin your scenic drive to Tawang, passing through Sela Pass, a breathtaking high-altitude pass with mesmerizing views. Stop at Sela Lake and pay homage to brave soldier Jaswant Singh at the Jaswantgarh War Memorial. If time permits, visit the stunning Jung Falls (Nuranang Falls) and continue your journey to Tawang. On raching check-in to your hotel in Tawang and take rest.Night Stay in Tawang.
Day 06 Local visit in Tawang
Today morning, our first stop is the renowned Tawang Monastery one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in India. Following that, visit Ani Gompa, situated on a serene hillock. Next, visit Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Marvel at the grand Buddha statue at Buddha Park, then visit the Tawang Craft Centre and the historic Tawang War Memorial.
As evening sets in, take a leisurely stroll through the local market, where you can find various artefacts and souvenirs. Additionally, there's an optional light and sound show at Tawang War Memorial, available at an extra cost.
Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Tawang, rejuvenating for the adventures that lie ahead.

Day 07 Tawang to Bumla Pass(37km) and Madhuri Lake
After a delightful breakfast, we set off on an exhilarating day trip to the Bumla Pass, located at an altitude of 4,572 meters right on the Indo-China border. En route, visit the majestic lakes of Arunachal Pradesh, Ptso Lake and the renowned Madhuri Lake, also known as Shungetsar Lake. The spellbinding beauty of Sangetsar Lake, one of the highest-altitude lakes in India, leaves a lasting impression.
As the evening descends, we make our way back to Tawang, where you can unwind and enjoy a peaceful night's stay, cherishing the memories created throughout the day.
Note: A special permit is required to visit Bumla Pass and Madhuri Lake. You need to take a local cab to visit the pass. The charge for the Bumla trip is payable to the driver.

Day 08 Tawang to Dirang (140km/4.5hrs)
In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and start our journey to Dirang.
Enroute visit the splendid TDL Monastery an attractive and aesthetically beautiful monastery in Dirang from there one enjoy alluring view of nearby hills as well. If time permits you can also visit majestic Sangti valley and return to your hotel at Dirang in the evening.

Day 09 Dirang – Guwahati
Check out from the hotel early in the morning after breakfast and drive to Guwahati via Kalaktang which takes around 9 - 10 hours. We will pass gorgeous mountains, sparkling vegetable firms and kiwi farms enroute. On reaching Guwahati check in at a hotel and relax for the night after a long tiring day.

Day 10 Guwahati to Cherrapunji (150km/4hrs)
Today morning after breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Cherrapunji (Sohra), famous for its abundant rainfall and breathtaking waterfalls. Cherrapunji, officially known as Sohra, offers a mesmerizing experience with its scenic beauty and natural wonders. Today you can explore Nohkalikai Falls, Mawkdok Dympep Valley, Mawsmai Caves, Eco Park , Seven sisters fall etc. Return to your hotel in the evening and spend a comfortable night.
Night Stay in Cherrapunji.
Day 11 Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong (81km/2.5hrs) and Dawki(31km/1.5hrs) - Shillong (79km/3hrs)
After breakfast at the hotel, we start our journey towards Mawlynnong village. On reaching the village we will go for a stroll around the village and then walk on the living root bridge(Single decker bridge) located nearby.
After that proceed towards Dawki and enjoy boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River. Return to Shillong in the afternoon at around 3 pm.

Day 12 Shillong to Guwahati (100km/2.5hrs)
On the final day of your Meghalaya Arunachal tour package, explore Shillong’s attractions like Ward's Lake, Shillong Cathedral and Umium Lake and proceed to Guwahati. We went to 5 days Assam tour with Nexplore. We booked this trip last minute (~week prior) and were immediately helped with scheduling tours of the Kaziranga park and major attractions. It was great all around
My son and I had a great wildlife trip in Northeast India organized by Nexplore Travel. In Assam we went to four National Parks. We saw elephants, rhinos, water buffalo, monkeys etc. It was great all around. Our driver was perfect. Flawless travel.
