Sillong Tawang Kaziranga Itinerary
Day 01 Guwahati - Bhalukpong
The first day of the Kaziranga Tawang Meghalaya tour our representative will meet you at Guwahati Airport/Railway station and start journey to Bhalukpong. It is a serene beautiful town located in the Assam Arunachal border which takes around 6 hrs (245 km) to cover from Guwahati.
Alternatively you can stay at Nameri national Park and explore the park during its opening season from October - April.

Day 02 Bhalukpong - Dirang
Early morning after breakfast drive towards Dirang.
Enroute we visit Tipi Orchidarium and watch the vast collection of beautiful orchids and trees. On reaching Dirang, check in at the hotel.
If time permits visits Dirang hot Springs and splendid TDL Buddhist Monastery (Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery). Perched on a hilltop, this monastery offers sweeping panoramic views of the Dirang Valley and showcases traditional architecture.
Spend the night comfortably at the hotel in Dirang.

Day 03 Dirang – Tawang
Early morning start our journey to Tawang which takes around 7 - 8 hrs.
On the way, you can stopover at Sela Pass, Sela Lake and Jaswantgarh war memorial. If time permit watch the majestic Jung falls(Nuranang Falls).
Then check-in at the hotel in Tawang and relax.
Night Stay in Tawang.
Day 04 Tawang
In the morning we first visit the Tawang Monastery. After that, we experience a ropeway ride to Ani Gompa via Tawang rope-way from Tawang monastery. Ani Gompa is perched in a hillock in a beautiful and calm location.
Then we visit Urgelling Monastery and see the footprint of 6th Dalai Lama. After that, we admire the giant Buddha statue at the Buddha Park and then we visit Tawang Craft centre and Tawang War memorial.
In the evening stroll around in the local market and watch various artifacts and buy souvenirs. You can also enjoy light and sound show at Tawang War memorial at an extra cost.

Day 05 Tawang – Bumla Pass
Today morning after breakfast, go for a day trip in Bumla pass located in the Indo-China border around 37 km away from Tawang. It took around 6-7 hrs to complete the tour. Enroute we stop over at majestic lakes of Arunachal Pradesh Ptso Lake and Madhuri Lake (Shungetsar Lake). Sangetsar Lake is one of the most enrapturing high-altitude lake in India.
In the evening return back to Tawang for a relaxing night stay.

Day 06 Tawang – Bomdila
In the morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Bomdila.
At first, we will go to explore 16th century Monpa settlement at Lhou village. In that village you can witness traditional stone built house, antique crafts and old utensils etc.
Alternatively you can explore the majestic Sangti valley, a serene valley surrounded by lush hills, pine forests, and the Sangti River.
In the evening reach Bomdila and check-in at your hotel.

Day 07 Bomdila – Kaziranga
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit the Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gompa). Then, proceed to Kaziranga National Park, a journey of approximately 7 hours.
Enjoy an overnight stay at a resort in Kaziranga.

Day 08 Kaziranga
Today we wake up early in the morning and go for an Elephant safari in the Kaziranga National Park. Later visit Kaziranga National Orchid & Biodiversity Park and enjoy not only orchids but also traditional food and dance form as well as the small museum , Cactus garden and bamboo garden.
Have a symptoms lunch with local cuisines at Kaziranga Orchid Park. In the afternoon go for Jeep Safari in the park. Return back to resort and rest for the day.

Day 09 Kaziranga - Shillong
Today morning after breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Shillong.
Shillong is a scenic place to spend a rejoicing holiday amidst majestic waterfalls, evergreen verdant valley and breathtaking gorges.
Enroute stops at Barapani Lake(Umiam) for a short break. On reaching check-in at a hotel in Shillong.

Day 10 Shillong - Cherrapunji
Today after breakfast, we proceed towards Cherrapunji, the land of immense scenic beauty. It is an enchanting location comprised of surreal hills and tumbling waterfalls on its cliff, natural caves and double-decker living root bridge.
Today we visit Elephant falls, Nohkalikai falls, Seven sister falls, Dainthlen falls, Awrah cave, Maswami cave, Mawkdok Dympep valley and Eco Park.
Night stay in a cosy resort in Cherrapunji.
Please note: If any tourist attractions are closed on the scheduled day of visit, we will not be able to accommodate the visit on an alternative day due to logistical constraints. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regard.

Day 11 Cherrapunji - Mawlynnong - Dawki - Shillong
After breakfast at the hotel, we start our journey towards Mawlynnong village. On reaching the village we will go for a walk around the village and then see the giant Jingmaham living root bridge located around 1.5 km.
After that proceed towards Dawki and enjoy boating and other activities and return to Shillong in the afternoon at around 3 pm.

Day 12 Shillong - Guwahati
Today morning after breakfast do some sight seeing in the Shillong city and return to Guwahati. We drop you at the airport or railway station according to your schedule time. Return home with sweet memories of Northeast India.

RESERVATION TERMS
- Confirmation of Tour Package is subject to the remittance of 50% of the total tour cost in advance and rest to be paid prior to the commencing of the tour so as to reconfirm all the arrangements on definite arrival basis.
- Slight alterations in the accommodation may become unavoidable due to unavailability of rooms in mentioned hotels, but the accommodation so provided will be of the same class.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
- 30 days before the commencement of the tour: 10% of the tour cost will be levied.
- 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 25% of the tour cost will be levied.
- Less than 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 50% of the tour cost will be levied.
- Less than 07 days before the commencement of the tour: 100% of the tour cost will be levied. No refund is entitled "for no-shows".

We went to 5 days Assam tour with Nexplore. We booked this trip last minute (~week prior) and were immediately helped with scheduling tours of the Kaziranga park and major attractions. It was great all around
My son and I had a great wildlife trip in Northeast India organized by Nexplore Travel. In Assam we went to four National Parks. We saw elephants, rhinos, water buffalo, monkeys etc. It was great all around. Our driver was perfect. Flawless travel.
