Day 1:Guwahati - Shillong, visit Ma Kamakhya Temple
Our Meghalaya tour packages for family, start once you arrive at Guwahati Airport/Railway station. After your arrival our representative will meet you and assist you in Northeast India. Before start your journey to Meghalaya visit the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Pithas in India. Offer prayer to the Ma Kamakhya and explore the temple complex and witness the unique rituals and spiritual ambiance. After seeking blessings at Kamakhya Temple, you will continue your journey towards Shillong, the picturesque capital of Meghalaya (3 hours, 102 km). Enroute you can visit the Umiam Lake and enjoy its beauty and other sports if you want. On reaching Shillong, you will check into your accommodation for a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 2:Shillong - local visit, Laitlum Canyon
On day 2 of your tour, following breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Shillong. Visit popular attractions such as the Don Bosco Museum, which showcases the cultural heritage of Northeast India. Explore Ward's Lake, a picturesque artificial lake perfect for a leisurely stroll. Lady Hydari Park, known for its lush greenery and mini zoo. You can also visit the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians and Laitlum canyon which offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills, deep gorges, and lush green landscapes. Evening, explore the bustling Police Bazar, known for its markets and street food. Overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 3:Shillong - Cherrapunji
After a delightful breakfast and check-out from your hotel in Shillong, your exciting day continues as you head towards Cherrapunji, known for its lush landscapes and record-breaking rainfall. At first visit the majestic Elephant Falls, a breathtaking waterfall that cascades down in three tiers.
The next stop is the Mawkdok Dympep Valley View Point in Cherrapunji, where you can admire the awe-inspiring beauty of the valleys and gorges below. To add a touch of adventure to your day, you will explore the Arwah Cave, known for its fascinating rock formations and underground wonders. Then visit the Eco Park, where you can immerse yourself in the serene beauty of nature, explore the lush gardens, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
Next, have a visit the mysteries of Mawsmai Cave, a fascinating limestone cave known for its awe-inspiring formations. Then visit the Seven Sisters Falls and majestic Nohkalikai Falls 3rd tallest waterfall in India. After an eventful day of exploration, finally, you will arrive at your hotel in Cherrapunji, where you can relax and rejuvenate for the rest of the day, reflecting on the incredible sights and experiences of the day.

Day 4:Cherrapunji - Dawki/Mawlynnong village, Single Decker Root Bridge
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and continue your journey to Mawlynnong village, renowned as the cleanest village in Asia. On reaching the village, take a leisurely stroll in the village, and enjoy the thrilling experience of walking on the Skywalk, offering panoramic views of the surroundings. Then do a short trek to the Single Decker Living Root Bridge, a unique natural sustainable bridges formed by weaving aerial roots of rubber trees across rivers crafted by the local Khasi tribes.
Afterward, proceed to Dawki located in the Bangladesh border. Upon arrival, prepare for an enchanting boating experience on the pristine waters of the Dawki River. The crystal-clear river offers a surreal backdrop, and you can witness the vibrant hues of the water while gliding along in your boat.
In the evening spend the night in a homestay and experience the basic lifestyle and local ambiance.

Day 5:Mawlynnong - Krang Shuri Falls - Shillong
After enjoying breakfast at Mawlynnong, proceed towards Jowai and visit the magnificent Krang Shuri Falls, known for its striking blue waters. Here, you can enjoy activities such as zip-lining, boating, and swimming. If you are interested in trekking, you may also visit Phe Phe Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in Meghalaya.
Alternatively, if you are traveling with elders, you can explore the beautiful Ialong Park and the historic Nartiang Monoliths, which offer scenic views and cultural significance.
Later in the afternoon, return to Shillong and relax at your hotel.

Assam at its best
We went to 5 days Assam tour with Nexplore. We booked this trip last minute (~week prior) and were immediately helped with scheduling tours of the Kaziranga park and major attractions. Anushila picked us up at the airport in the most welcoming way. They adjusted the tour for our requests to see a tea plantation and the city where most silk production occurs, Sualkuchi. It was great all around
My son and I had a great wildlife trip in Northeast India organized by Nexplore Travel. In Assam we went to four National Parks. We saw elephants, rhinos, water buffalo, monkeys etc. It was great all around. Our driver was perfect. Flawless travel. Places we stayed were excellent and the food was incredible.I encountered some trouble myself health wise and these guys helped me to solve that problem.
