Sikkim Assam Meghalaya tour itinerary
Day 01 Guwahati
Our 10 days Sikkim Assam and Meghalaya tour start today upon your arrival in Guwahati railway station/Airport. On arrival, our representative meets you and transfer to your hotel.
After some refreshment, we will take you to Kamakhya Temple and local visit in Guwahati city.
Return to your hotel in the evening and take rest.

Day 02 Guwahati to Cherrapunji (150km/4.5hrs)
Today morning we will drive to Cherrapunji and visit Umium lake, Elephant Falls enroute. On arrival at Cherrapunji check in to a hotel/resort. Cherrapunji is a stunning place dotted with comfortable and stunning resorts close to nature. Later visit Nohkhalika falls, Seven sisters falls, Dainthalan falls, Mawsmai cave and Eco Park etc.

Day 03 Cherrapunji - Mawlynnong(82km/2.5hr) - Shillong(78km/2.5hr)
Today we will go for a day trip to the Mawlynnong village and Dawki.
We will visit the cleanest village in India Mawlynnong and go for a short trek in the Single-Decker Living root bridge located nearby in the Riwai village. You can also have a lunch of authentic Khasi dish and ride on the top of a sky walk to enjoy the bird eye view of Bangladesh.
Later we will go for boating in the Dawki and enjoy some water sports and spend the night in a hotel at Shillong. The evening is free for shopping in the Shillong.

Day 04 Shillong to Kaziranga National Park (182km/5hr)
Today we start early and drive to Kaziranga National Park. It is around 8 hrs. drive and we have our lunch in a roadside eatery. On reaching Kaziranga check-in at a resort. You can feel one with nature here and spend the night comfortably in a cozy resort.
Note: Kaziranga remains closed from May - October.

Day 05 Kaziranga Safari
On the day 5 of our 10 days Sikkim Assam Meghalaya tour we experience a close encounter with the wild animals at Kaziranga. Today we do early morning Elephant Safari and afternoon Jeep safari in two major ranges of Kaziranga namely Western range and Central range or vice versa.
In between we also visit Kaziranga orchid park and tribal villages.

Day 06 Kaziranga - New Jalpaiguri via Guwahati
On day 6 of our Assam Meghalaya Sikkim tour, we drive back to Guwahati after breakfast. Had lunch in a roadside Dhaba and drop you at Guwahati railway station for the onward journey to NJP railway station.
Day 07 NJP(New Jalpaiguri) - Gangtok (118km/4-5hr)
On arrival at the NJP railway station, our representative will meet you and drive to Gangtok. After reaching Gangtok check-in at your hotel. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the bustling streets of MG Marg market in Gangtok. Indulge in shopping for local handicrafts and souvenirs, and treat yourself to the delectable flavors of Sikkimese cuisine.

Day 08 Gangtok local visit
Today we go for sightseeing in the Gangtok city, state capital of Sikkim. We take you to the highest viewpoint in Gangtok Tashi View Point after that we visit Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok. Later we visit Ban Jhakri Falls Park, Bakthang Waterfalls, Enchey Monastery and stop at Namgyal Institute of Tibetology and Do drul chorten to acquainted yourself more about Buddhism.
Later end your day with a visit to Gangtok Ropeway and return to your hotel for a comfortable stay.

Day 09 Gangtok - Tsomgo Lake(36km) - Nathula Pass(53km)
The day 9th of the Assam Meghalaya Sikkim tour is the most wonderful one. Today we drive to see snow-covered Nathula Pass, Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Mandir situated 54 km from Gangtok. It requires 6 - 7hours to complete the whole trip.
Nathula Pass is located in China's occupied Tibet Autonomous Region border. We drive through a part of the old silk route to Nathula Pass. In the evening return back to Gangtok.
* Entry permit is required to visit Nathula Pass and Tsomgo Lake.

Day 10 Gangtok Departure
Today is the last day of our 10 days Sikkim Meghalaya Assam tour.
After breakfast, we will take you to Bagdogra International Airport, or NJP railway station which takes around 4-5 hours and conclude your memorable holiday in Northeast-India.

- Confirmation of Tour Package is subject to the remittance of 60% of the total tour cost in advance and rest to be paid prior to the commencing of the tour so as to reconfirm all the arrangements on definite arrival basis.
- Slight alterations in the accommodation may become unavoidable due to unavailability of rooms in mentioned hotels, but the accommodation so provided will be of the same class.

- 30 days before the commencement of the tour: 10% of the tour cost will be levied.
- 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 25% of the tour cost will be levied.
- Less than 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 50% of the tour cost will be levied.
- Less than 07 days before the commencement of the tour: 100% of the tour cost will be levied. No refund is entitled "for no-shows".

It was great all around
My son and I had a great wildlife trip in Northeast India organized by Nexplore Travel. In Assam we went to four National Parks. We saw elephants, rhinos, water buffalo, monkeys etc. It was great all around. Our driver was perfect. Flawless travel.
