How to reach Nagaland

By Air
The nearest airport of Nagaland is located in Dimapur, 74 km away from Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. There are flights from Guwahati(Assam) and Kolkata (West Bengal)to Dimapur.

By Rail
The nearest railhead is also located at Dimapur. Several trains are available from Guwahati and Dibrugarh two major town of Assam to Dimapur. Dimapur is also connected by Rajdhani express from New Delhi.

By Road
Kohima the capital of Nagaland is connected to Imphal in Manipur(123 km) and Guwahati in Assam(400 km) by road. Two major highway that connects Nagaland is NH39 and NH 36. NH 39 connects Kohima, Imphal and Dimapur to the rest of the country and NH 36 connects Assam (Nagaon) with Dimapur.

Proposed Asian Highway (AH-1), which is a part of the India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway also passes through Dimapur, Which connects Guwahati to Imphal and Moreh.
