Tawang Tour Itinerary 7 Days
Day 01 Arrival at Guwahati and scenic drive to Nameri/Bhalukpong 6 hrs 245 km
Upon your arrival at Guwahati airport/ railway station, our representative will welcome you and start your Tawang trip. On the first day we take you to Nameri National Park. The journey to the park takes about six hours (245 km). After reaching Nameri, check in to a resort and unwind for the night.
Nameri: Nameri National Park, located in Assam, is a breathtaking sanctuary celebrated for its home to more than 300 species of birds and animals, including the rare 'white-winged wood duck'. Immerse yourself in the park's natural splendour by embarking on an early morning walking tour. Post that, you can enjoy river rafting in the Jia Bhoroli river.
Nameri National Park remains closed in the summer months from May - October. We provide alternate stays at Bhalukpong during that time.

Day 02 Road trip to Dirang : visit Tipi orchidarium and drive through cloud-covered hills 5 hr. 170 km
On the second day of our Tawang package tour, wake up early in the morning and go for a nature walk in the Nameri and spot a variety of birds.
Post that, return to your resort, have breakfast and then set off for the Dirang valley which is 170 km away. We drive through Pristine Rupa and Tenga Valley where the river Jia Bhoroli will flow alongside, making a memorable journey for a lifetime. Enroute, stop at Tipi Orchidarium and observe different orchids.
Dirang: Located on the bank of river Kameng, Dirang is a charming town surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. In Dirang, you can witness the unique blend of Tibetan and Monpa cultures. Explore the local monasteries and lush valleys on your tour.
On reaching check in at a hotel and take a rest or go for a walk in the market.

Day 03 Crossing Sela Pass to reach Tawang : visit Dirang monastery 5 - 6 hr. 135 km
Today morning, enjoy breakfast and then set off for the journey to Tawang.
Enroute visit TDL Buddhist Monastery (Dirang Monastery) one of the largest and stunning monastery in Arunachal Pradesh. After that drive to Tawang via Sela Pass, the second highest pass in India at an altitude of 13,700 ft. You can play with snow near the snow-covered Sela Lake during winter. Later stop at the Jaswant Garh war memorial and pay tribute to the great soldier Jaswant Singh Rawat who fought bravely in the 1962 Indo-China war. After that explore stunning Jung waterfall (Nuranang Falls) and drive to Tawang. On reaching Tawang, check in to a hotel and take rest for the night.

Day 04 Sightseeing in Tawang: Explore Tawang monastery and giant Buddha statue
On Day 4 of our tour, we will visit the local attractions in Tawang. Our first stop is the largest monastery in India, and the second largest monastery in Asia is Tawang Monastery. The monastery has a three-storey assembly hall and a spectacular golden statue of Lord Buddha. It also houses a big library and an ancient museum showcasing Buddhist paintings, ceremonial masks, etc. Perched at an elevation of about 10,000 feet, the monastery offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After some blissful time in the monastery, drive to Ani Gompa, a Buddhist nunery, and interact with women monks. It is perched on the top of a hill overlooking the deep valley.
After that, visit Buddha Park to see the giant Lord Buddha statue and enjoy a panoramic view of the Tawang Chu valleys and snow-capped mountains from the top. Post that, explore Tawang War Memorial and pay tribute to the brave soldiers of the 1962 Indo-China War. Later visit Urgelling Gompa – the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama.
In the evening enjoy a light and sound show at Tawang War Memorial or stroll around the local market.

Day 05 Bumla Pass (35 km) and Sangetsar Lake day trip
Today morning go for a trip to Bumla Pass and Sangetsar Lake. In winter, the road to Bumla is covered with snow and passes through frozen lakes and snow-covered mountains, making it an extremely thrilling journey. It is 37 km(2.5 hr) away from Tawang and situated on the Indo-China border at 15200 ft above sea level.
Enroute, visit exquisite high-altitude lakes Madhuri Lake(Sangetsar Lake), Panga Teng Tso Lake (P.T. Tso Lake) and Nagula Lake. Sangetsar Lake has a beautiful walking trail and a small canteen maintained by India army which serves delicious food.
By evening, return to Tawang and relax for the night in your hotel.
Note: To visit Bumla Pass (sitting at 15,200 feet along the Indo-China border) requires a specialized army permit which needs to obtain in advance. Bumla Pass access is legally restricted to Indian nationals only.
If Bumla pass, is not accessible, we will take you to high altitude mountain lakes like Madhuri Lake (Sungester Lake), Pankang Teng Tso Lake and Nagula Lake.

Day 06 Return to Bomdila after visiting the enchanting Sangti valley 6 -7 hr. 181 km
This morning have an early breakfast and start your return journey towards Bomdila (181 km). Enroute, stop by the wonderful Sangti Valley/Chug valley and enjoy the fresh air and scenic river bank.
Bomdila: It is a small town which is the headquarters of the West Kameng district. Set amongst the mighty Himalayas at an altitude of 2530 m above sea level, it gives the most picturesque view.
On reaching Bomdila check in at hotel for some refreshment. In the evening visit Bomdila Monastery (Upper Gompa) and local markets. Check out beautiful Tibetan-style trinkets and other stationaries.
Return back to your hotel at night and relax.

Day 07 Return Journey from Bomdila to Guwahati and drop off 8-9 hrs. 270 km
Today, is the last date of your Tawang tour package. We start our return journey back to Guwahati and enjoy the beautiful road trip via Kalaktang. The whole journey will take around 8-9 hrs. On reaching, we will drop you at Guwahati Airport/railway station or hotel according to your convince. With lots of sweet memories your Tawang tour ends here.

Note: Tawang lies in a restricted area in western Arunachal Pradesh, and Indian citizens need an Inner Line Permit (ILP), while foreign nationals require a Protected Area Permit (PAP). We will arrange permit on your behalf, which requires 3-5 days.

- Valid Government Photo ID Proof: High-resolution digital scan of your Aadhar Card, Passport, or Voter ID Card showing a clear address (Note: PAN Cards are legally invalid for ILP processing).
- Recent Passport-Size Photographs: Two color passport-sized digital photographs against a plain white background.
Important Advisory: The domestic online/offline ILP is strictly for Indian nationals. Foreign tourists require a Protected Area Permit (PAP), which carries distinct fee models and processing timelines. Please inform our team in advance if any traveler holds non-Indian citizenship.

- Confirmation of tour Package is subject to the remittance of 60% of the total tour cost in advance and the rest to be paid prior to the commencing of the tour so as to reconfirm all the arrangements on definite arrival basis.
- Slight alterations in the accommodation may become unavoidable due to unavailability of rooms in the mentioned hotels, but the accommodation so provided will be of the same class.
- Children below 5 yrs stay complimentary.
CANCELLATION & REFUNDS
- 30 days before the commencement of the tour: 10% of the tour cost will be levied.
- 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 25% of the tour cost will be levied.
- Less than 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 50% of the tour cost will be levied.
- Less than 07 days before the commencement of the tour: 100% of the tour cost will be levied. No refund is entitled "for no-shows".
