Assam Meghalaya itinerary 7 Days
Day 01 Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Kaziranga National Park (204 km/4.5 hours)
Your Assam Meghalaya tour begins with your arrival in Guwahati, where our representative will greet you and assist in your transfer to Kaziranga National Park. Upon reaching Kaziranga, check into your hotel and unwind. In the evening, enjoy a cultural dance performance at Orchid Park, showcasing the traditional dance of different tribes of Assam. Night stay in Kaziranga.

Day 02 Kaziranga National Park – Wildlife Safari Experience
Wake up early for an exciting elephant safari in Kaziranga’s central range, offering a close encounter with the majestic one-horned rhinoceros, asiatic elephants, swamp deer, and a variety of bird species. After breakfast, visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park, home to over 600 species of orchids. A cultural centre, traditionalfood hut, a mini-museum and cactus park etc also exist in the same campus. In the afternoon, set out for a jeep safari in the park, where you might spot wild buffalos, hog deer, and even a Royal Bengal Tiger if lucky. Enjoy an evening at leisure.

Day 03 Kaziranga to Shillong (270 km/6 -7 hours)
After breakfast, bid farewell to Kaziranga and embark on a scenic drive towards Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, known as the "Scotland of the East." En route, stop at the picturesque Umiam Lake (Barapani lake), where you can soak in the breathtaking views or opt for a boat ride. Upon reaching Shillong, check into your hotel and explore the charming cafes or local markets in Police Bazaar.

Day 04 Shillong to Cherrapunji (55 km/2 hours)
Post breakfast, drive towards Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth. En route, visit the stunning Mawkdok Dympep Valley Viewpoint for panoramic views of the lush green hills. Explore Seven Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Next, visit the fascinating Mawsmai Cave, a limestone cave filled with dramatic stalactite and stalagmite formations. If time permits visit Eco park, Arwah cave etc. Enjoy the evening amidst the serene beauty of Cherrapunji.
Please note: If any tourist attractions are closed on the scheduled day of visit, we will not be able to accommodate the visit on an alternative day due to logistical constraints. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regard.

Day 05 Cherrapunji to Mawlynnong (81 km/2.5 hours)
Morning after breakfast, embark on a scenic journey to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in Asia. Upon arrival in Mawlynnong, explore the village’s beautiful bamboo houses, clean streets, and eco-friendly lifestyle. Walk on the fascinating Living Root Bridge, a unique structure naturally formed by intertwining tree roots. Post that visit Dawki, where you can experience a boat ride on the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River. The surreal transparency of the river makes it seem like the boats are floating in the air. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and spend the night in a basic homestay at Mawlynnong Village.

Day 06 Mawlynnong to Shillong & return to Guwahati
Early moring after breakfast drive back to Shillong. On reaching local visit in Shillong and explore the Don Bosco Museum, Ward's Lake, Shillong Cathedral etc . In the afternoon drive back to Guwahati.

Day 07 Kamakhya Temple Visit – Departure from Guwahati
On the last day of your Assam Meghalaya tour package, early morning after breakfast visit the revered Kamakhya Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and a significant Hindu pilgrimage site. After seeking blessings, you will be dropped at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, marking the end of an unforgettable Assam Meghalaya family tour.

RESERVATION TERMS
- The price will vary according to the no. of people.

- The vehicle for sightseeing is available on an itinerary basis only, and will not be on disposal.
- All foreign nationals must share their passport and visa details at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
- Confirmation of the tour Package is subject to the remittance of 50% of the total tour cost in advance and the rest to be paid prior to the commencing of the tour so as to reconfirm all the arrangements on a definite arrival basis.
- Slight alterations in the accommodation may become unavoidable due to unavailability of rooms in mentioned hotels, but the accommodation so provided will be of the same class.

- 30 days before the commencement of the tour: 10% of the tour cost will be levied.
- 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 25% of the tour cost will be levied.
- Less than 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 50% of the tour cost will be levied.
- Less than 07 days before the commencement of the tour: 100% of the tour cost will be levied. No refund is entitled "for no-shows".

Beautiful, flexible and fun
We went to 5 days Assam tour with Nexplore. We booked this trip last minute (~week prior) and were immediately helped with scheduling tours of the Kaziranga park and major attractions. Anushila picked us up at the airport in the most welcoming way. They adjusted the tour for our requests to see a tea plantation and the city where most silk production occurs, Sualkuchi. Both of these were excellent additions and allowed us to witness the strength and beauty in Assamese craft. It was great all around
My son and I had a great wildlife trip in Northeast India organized by Nexplore Travel. In Assam we went to four National Parks. We saw elephants, rhinos, water buffalo, monkeys etc. It was great all around. Our driver was perfect.
Flawless travel. Places we stayed were excellent and the food was incredible.
I encountered some trouble myself health wise and these guys helped me to solve that problem. We would definitely come back and see more of the Northeast India.

We have just returned from a 7 days family trip to Assam Meghalaya with Nexplore Travel. As we have two kids we were worried for them initially but our trip was perfect. wonderful trip
