  • Arrive at Pobitora National Park.
  • Jeep Safari: Embark on a thrilling jeep safari to explore the park. Pobitora is famous for its high density of Indian one-horned rhinoceroses, so keep your camera ready! During the safari, you'll also spot various species of birds, wild buffalo, and other wildlife native to the region.
  • After Jeep safari you can enjoy a local breakfast or lunch in a nearby restaurant. Enjoy a traditional Assamese lunch at a nearby restaurant or resort. Savor local delicacies like fish curry, rice, and green vegetables.
    (Note: If you want to experience elephant ride then start early in the morning at 6 am from your hotel.)
  • If time permit later you can drive to the nearby Brahmaputra River for a serene boat ride at an extra cost. Enjoy the tranquil views and the possibility of spotting river dolphins. Return to Guwahati.

Each safari lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, and it's recommended to book your safari in advance, especially during peak tourist season.

Overview of Pobitora National Park

Location: Pobitora National Park is located in the Morigaon district of Assam, about 50 kilometers from Guwahati. Nestled in the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River, this wildlife sanctuary is renowned for its dense population of the Indian one-horned rhinoceros. Despite being relatively small, covering an area of just 38.8 square kilometers, Pobitora boasts one of the highest concentrations of these majestic creatures in the world.
