On arrival at Jorhat Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your accommodation in Jorhat. Known as the ‘Tea Capital of Assam,’ Jorhat is surrounded by lush tea gardens. Here, you can enjoy a unique stay in a heritage tea bungalow and experience the lifestyle of a tea planter. Spend the evening at leisure, relaxing amidst serene surroundings, or explore some of Jorhat’s local attractions.

Early morning after breakfast drive to Mon town, Nagaland. The drive takes around 6-7 hours.
Mon is home to the Konyak tribe, famous for their history of headhunting. The Konyaks were one of the 12 headhunter tribes in Nagaland, who practiced headhunting until 1935. As you enter Nagaland, the roads become bumpy, but the landscape transforms into scenic views of Nagaland tea gardens on both sides. Mon is known for its thatched-roof bamboo houses and fewer concrete buildings. On arrival, check into your lodge and soak in the atmosphere of this remote frontier town. Overnight at Mon.

Today, we visit the Longwa village inhabited by the Konyak tribe, located 42 km from Mon town. Upon arrival, we embark on a walking tour of the village. Our first stop is the Angh’s(Chef) house, which lies on the international border, with half the house in India and the other half in Myanmar (Burma). The house is decorated with tribal artifacts, including brass utensils, animal skulls, and ancient weapons. You can talk with the Angh and his family and enjoy friendly chit chat. Later you can walk around the village meet other tattooed Konyak warriors, a major attraction for those interested in tribal culture in Northeast India. You can also shop tradition jewellery and wooden sculpture in the roadside market. After exploring the village return to Mon in the afternoon.

Today, after breakfast, proceed to Hongphoi Village, home to the fascinating Konyak tribe. Take a guided walking tour of the village, beginning with a visit to the Angh’s (chief’s) house, where you will have the opportunity to interact with the local community and learn about their traditions. Continue exploring the village, including the traditional Morung (youth dormitory), which holds great cultural significance. If time allows, visit another nearby Konyak village before returning to Mon for an overnight stay.

Drive back into Assam, descending from the Naga Hills to the tea-rich plains of Dibrugarh (approx. 6–7 hrs). Known as the “Tea City of India,” Dibrugarh offers tranquil gardens and river views. In the evening, you may enjoy a quiet walk along the Brahmaputra River. Overnight at Dibrugarh.

After breakfast, set off on a long but rewarding drive to Ziro Valley, (approx. 7–8 hrs). The valley, home to the Apatani tribe, is known for its pine-covered hills, lush paddy fields, and unique cultural traditions. On arrival, check in to your lodge.

Spend the day exploring Ziro and the villages of the Apatani tribe.
Early morning after breakfast visit the home of Apatani tribes in their traditional form at Hong village and Bulla village. We meet the local people see the traditional houses made of bamboo and also visit the unique agriculture system of paddy cultivation with paddy-cum-pisciculture (fish farming).
End your day with a visit to Siikhe lake(Seeh lake), Nara Abba winery and test wine made from local fruits. If time permits you can also visit high altitude farm Tarin Fish farm. Return to your stay in the evening and relax.

Depart for Majuli, the world’s largest inhabited river island. Nestled in the mighty Brahmaputra, Majuli is the spiritual heart of Assam. Arrive by evening and settle into your guesthouse by the river. Overnight at Majuli.

Spend a full day exploring Majuli’s vibrant culture. Visit the famous Vaishnavite Satras (monasteries) that preserve centuries-old dance, music, and spiritual traditions. Witness the art of mask-making, pottery and traditional weaving and interact with artisans.
Visit the Samaguri Satra, famous for its mask-making tradition. The masks here are crafted using bamboo, cane, and clay, inspired by Hindu mythology. We will also explore the tiny delicate museum of Garmur Satra which preserve many artifacts and weapons during the time of Ahom Kingdom.
In the afternoon, enjoy bird watching in the wetlands of Majuli or experience a majestic sunset.
The island’s serene charm and spiritual aura make this a truly memorable day.

After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park (approx. 5–6 hrs), a UNESCO World Heritage site famed for the one-horned rhinoceros. Arrive and check in at your lodge. Evening at leisure. Overnight near Kaziranga.

In the morning, visit the beautiful Orchid Garden to see hundreds of native orchid species and enjoy folk performances. In the afternoon, set out on a thrilling jeep safari inside Kaziranga, where you may encounter rhinos, elephants, swamp deer and a variety of birds. In the evening, attend a cultural program featuring traditional Assamese dances and music, adding a perfect local flavour to your experience. Overnight at Kaziranga.
