Guwahati Darjeeling Gangtok Tour Itinerary
Day 01 Guwahati- Gangtok
As you arrive in Guwahati our representatives will greet and help you board the train to New Jalpaiguri (408 km). Move on from New Jalpaiguri to Gangtok (117 km), the capital of Sikkim. After checking in the hotel and some time for leisure, continue with local sightseeing and getting a taste of the local cuisines and spicy street food in the MG Marg.
Overnight halt at Gangtok.
Day 02 Gangtok
On the day 2 of our Gangtok Darjeeling Pelling tour, Capture the sights and sounds of the city and proceed to the Hanuman Tak. The Gangtok city tour also includes trips to Tashi viewpoint, Namgyal Institute of Tibetan Technology, and Ganesh tok and Gonjang Monastery. Visit Dordul Chorten Stupa and enjoy the famous ropeway ride. Later in the day, visit the Banjhakri Falls and Bakthang falls.
Alternatively, you can also visit Tsomgo lake and Nathula Pass at an additional cost if the road is open for tourist.
Tsomgo lake located 40 km away from the city of Gangtok. The lake sits at an elevation of over 12000 feet. This beautiful water body is completely frozen during winters and reflects different colours during other seasons. Following this, we will visit the shrine of the Baba Harbhajan Singh.

Day 03 Gangtok - Lachen via Chungthang.
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and proceed to North-sikkim in the morning hours. We spend our first night at Lachen. It is around 125 km drive from Gangtok which generally takes 7-8 hrs to cover. The small place is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and beautiful alpine meadows and meandering Teesta River. Enjoy the beautiful mountain roads and the view of the Singhik viewpoint and Naga falls on the way.
You can spend the evening at leisure or visit Lachen Monastery and Handicraft Center.

Day 04 Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake and halt at Lachung
Today we get up early and proceed to Gurudongmar lake in the wee hours of the morning which takes around 5 hours. Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, located at an altitude of 17,100 ft (5,210 m). Due to the lack of oxygen at such high altitudes, kids and adults can find difficulty. On return, we will enjoy the beauty of Chopta Valley. The lake can be reached by road from Lachen via Thangu. After returning proceed to Lachung for night stay.
You need a Protected Area Permit (PAP) to visit Lachung. Which can be arranged in advance at Gangtok.

Day 05 Lachung- Yumthang Valley- Gangtok
Early morning, make your way up to Yumthang Valley, the valley of flowers. Yumthang valley sits right above the tree line and is the most beautiful valley in all of Sikkim located 30 km away from Lachung. After enjoying the valley views proceed to the zero point at Yumthang. We also visit Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary enroute. In the afternoon return back to Gangtok (140 km) and check-in to a hotel.

Day 06 Gangtok-Pelling
The small mountain town of Pelling awaits you on day 6 of our Sikkim Darjeeling Pelling tour. It is around 135 km (5-6 hrs) from Gangtok. Mighty Himalayan and Kanchenjunga can be viewed clearly from Pelling. It is famous for the 17th-century monastery and palace overlooking the whole valley. Enroute takes a pit stop at the Buddha park in Ravangla.

Day 07 Pelling
Start our Sikkim Pelling tour with a visit to the best attractions in the small town of Pelling. Start your day with a visit to the Rimbi falls and then Proceed to the Kanchenjunga waterfall, Sewaro Rock Garden, Khecheoplari Lake, ruins of Rabdentse palace, Pelling Helipad and end your sightseeing at the Pemayangtse monastery renowned for its architectural marvels and wall paintings. Our last stop is Pelling skywalk and Sanga Choeling Monastery. Spend the evening enjoying the majestic views of the small plateau and enjoy walking in the skywalk.

Day 08 Pelling- Darjeeling
Start out in the early morning to the picture-perfect hill station of Darjeeling which takes around 3 hr (75 km). Make your way to the tea town of Darjeeling and spend the evening relaxing. In the evening relax and enjoy music, shopping and local food at the Darjelling Mall(Chowrasta).

Day 09 Darjeeling
Day 9 of our tour to Sikkim Darjeeling is action packed and starts with a visit to the Tiger Hill to see the sun cast its rays over the mighty Kanchenjunga. Visit the Himalayan mountaineering institute, Battasey loop, Zoological Park. Later on, visit the Peace Pagoda and Japanese temple, and the Rock garden.
A visit to Darjeeling is never complete without a visit to the tea gardens. We visit Happy Valley tea garden and see the tea making process.
Spend the evening shopping at the local markets.

Day 10 Darjeeling- Departure from Bagdogra

Confirmation of Tour Package is subject to the remittance of 50% of the total tour cost in advance and rest to be paid prior to the commencing of the tour so as to reconfirm all the arrangements on definite arrival basis.

30 days before the commencement of the tour: 10% of the tour cost will be levied.
15 days before the commencement of the tour: 25% of the tour cost will be levied.

Less than 07 days before the commencement of the tour: 100% of the tour cost will be levied. No refund is entitled "for no-shows".

We went to 5 days Assam tour with Nexplore. We booked this trip last minute (~week prior) and were immediately helped with scheduling tours of the Kaziranga park and major attractions. It was great all around
My son and I had a great wildlife trip in Northeast India organized by Nexplore Travel. In Assam we went to four National Parks. We saw elephants, rhinos, water buffalo, monkeys etc. It was great all around. Our driver was perfect. Flawless travel. Places we stayed were excellent and the food was incredible.I encountered some trouble myself health wise and these guys helped me to solve that problem.
