Your journey begins at Guwahati, the gateway to Northeast India. After a warm welcome, set off on a scenic drive through the Assamese countryside towards Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The drive itself is a treat, with emerald fields, small villages, and glimpses of rural life along the way. Arrive at your resort, surrounded by the lush greenery of Assam. In the evening, witness a vibrant folk dance performance by local tribes at Kaziranga Orchid Park.
Night Stay in Kaziranga
Wake up early to the calls of exotic birds and after breakfast head out for a thrilling Kaziranga Jeep safari in the western range of the park. Spot the majestic one-horned rhinoceros, elephants, swamp deer, and perhaps even a tiger if you’re lucky!
Later, enjoy breakfast back at your resort and spend the afternoon exploring nearby tea gardens or watch the vast collection of orchids and enjoying various activities like angling, hiking etc in the Kaziranga Orchid park. Spend the evening at rest.
Night Stay in Kaziranga.
After breakfast, drive towards Majuli, the world’s largest river island. Cross the mighty Brahmaputra River by ferry to reach this serene haven. Upon reaching Majuli, check in to a bamboo cottage and experience the charm of rural life up close.
Majuli is a quaint town far from the bustle of city life, where villagers still follow traditional ways of living. It is also the center of Neo-Vaishnavite culture and tradition, where monks practice devotional music, prayers, and dance dramas. You can enjoy a Sattriya dance performance by the monks and observe their simple and spiritual lifestyle in the Satras (monasteries).
Visit some of the most prominent Vaishnavite monasteries like Auniati Satra, Garamur Satra and explore the famous mask-making Satra - Samaguri Satra to witness this unique Mask of Majuli depicting characters from hindu mythology.
Spend the night in a cozy eco-lodge, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the island.
Night Stay in Majuli
Early in the morning, after enjoying a traditional breakfast, visit the Mising tribal villages to interact with the locals, learn about their lifestyle and witness the intricate hand weaving done by the women. After the visit, leave Majuli behind and head towards Jorhat, which includes a 1.5-hour ferry ride. Jorhat is famously known as the “Tea Capital of Assam.”
Upon arrival, check in to a heritage tea bungalow — a charming colonial-style house.
In the evening, relax or unwind with a freshly brewed cup of Assam tea on the veranda.
Night Stay in Jorhat.
This morning, visit the Hoollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary, home to India’s only ape species — the Hoolock Gibbon. The forest walk offers chances to spot rare primates and exotic birds.
After brekfast continue your journey to Dibrugarh, stopping en route at Sibsagar.
Arrive in Dibrugarh by evening and check in at a tea estate.
