Namdapha National Park, located in the eastern corner of Arunachal Pradesh, India, is one of the largest protected areas in the Eastern Himalayas. Covering an area of 1,985 square kilometres, it is renowned for its rich biodiversity, lush forests, and unique wildlife species including Hoolock Gibbon and the Namdapha Flying Squirrel. Namdapha rainforest trek 7 days Itinerary

Day 01 Arrival in Dibrugarh

After arrival at Dibrugarh Airport our representative will greet you and drive to Miao, which takes around 4 hours. Enjoy a scenic drive through the picturesque landscapes of Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight stay in a guest house/resort in Miao.

Day 02 Miao – Deban

Early Morning Drive to Deban and enter the Namdapha National Park and enjoy birds and butterflies. Namdapha National Park is the home of many wild animals, more than 1000 species of plants, 500 species of birds, 350 butterflies and many insects and fishes etc.  After a walk around proceed to Deban forest bungalow located near Noa Dehing river and spend a comfortable night.

Day 03 Trek to  Hornbill camp via Haldibari

Early morning after breakfast begin your trekking in Namdapha rainforest with an expert guide. At first we go to Haldibari and spot various birds and other animals along the way. There you can see many flora and fauna along with 4 species of Hornbill namely Great Hornbill, White throated Grey Hornbill, Rufous naked Hornbill and Wreath Hornbill.
You need to cross the river and its tributaries a couple of times. On the way and walk through a forest of riverbeds and tall grasses to reach the campsite.
Night stay in a basic camp and enjoy bonfire.

Day 04 Hornbill Camp - Firmbase Camp (12km)

In the morning, begin your hike to Firmbase Camp after breakfast, which should take around 4 hours. Firmbase Camp is a beautiful spot in Namdapha where you can see the river changing course and get a view of Dapha Bum Peak. Along the way, stop at Bulbulia to see hot water springs and spot various birds. Spend the night in a camp near riverside and enjoy a campfire in the evening. Today you can spot various water birds.

Day 05 Firmbase Camp - Embeong (6-7 hours)

After enjoying a relaxed morning meal, embark on a journey to Embeong, En route, you will traverse the Namdapha riverbed and grassland forest. Our first stop will be at Ranijheel. During our trek, there is a high chance of spotting the White-Bellied Heron, one of the rarest birds found in Namdapha. After walking for two hours, we will cross the Noa Dighing River.
The evening will be spent at leisure, accompanied by a bonfire. Settle in for the night at the camp.

Day 06 Embeong - Deban

After early morning breakfast trek back to Deban which takes around 6-7 hours. You will trek through deep rainforest and small bamboo bridges. In this area, you can see many wild animals and birds. On reaching Deban spend the night at Deban forest bungalow or Miao.

Day 07 Deban - Dibrugarh (5 hours drive) Departure

The morning after breakfast we will drop you at Dibrugarh airport/railway station for your onward journey.

RESERVATION TERMS

Confirmation of Tour Package is subject to the remittance of 50% of the total tour cost in advance and rest to be paid prior to the commencing of the tour so as to reconfirm all the arrangements on definite arrival basis.
Slight alterations in the accommodation may become unavoidable due to unavailability of rooms in mentioned hotels, but the accommodation so provided will be of the same class.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

30 days before the commencement of the tour: 10% of the tour cost will be levied.
15 days before the commencement of the tour: 25% of the tour cost will be levied.
Less than 15 days before the commencement of the tour: 50% of the tour cost will be levied.
Less than 07 days before the commencement of the tour: 100% of the tour cost will be levied. No refund is entitled "for no-shows".

The best time to visit Namdapha National Park is between November and April when the weather is pleasant and ideal for trekking and wildlife spotting.

The best time to spot butterflies in Namdapha are April - June or September - November.

The nearest airport is in Dibrugarh, Assam, which is about 160 km away. From there, you can take a taxi or bus to Miao, which is the nearest town to the park. The drive from Dibrugarh to Miao takes around 5-6 hours and offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and forests.

The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including the Clouded Leopard, Red Panda, Hoolock Gibbons, and numerous bird species.

Pack light and comfortable clothing, trekking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, binoculars, and a camera.

Yes, tourist should be feet enough to do trekking inside the park for 8-9 hours in a day.

We provide pick and drop fro Dibrugarh/Tinshika to Deban till the point vehicles are allowed. We don't provide any vehicle for trekking inside the park.
