KARENG GHAR & TALATAL GHAR:
These historical monuments were built by King Rudra Singha during 1696-1714 AD was the military station of the Ahom Kings. It is a seven-storied palace having three storeys underground- known as Talatal Ghar and the upper storeys known as Kareng Ghar.

GARGAON KARENG GHAR: Gargaon, the erstwhile capital of the Ahoms, lies 13 km east of Sivasagar. The old palace built in 1540 was destroyed, and the present seven-storeyed palace, known as Kareng Ghar, was rebuilt around 1762, by king Rajeshwar Singha. Which a very big and amazing complex mostly made of wood and yellow bricks.

RANG GHAR: This amphitheater was built by King Pramatta Singha. King Queens and courtier used to watch various games and dance performances from here. It is one of its kind and a unique monument in Northeast India.
- CHARAIDEO: It is one of the oldest capital of the Ahom kings. Built by the founder of the Ahom dynasty, King Siu-Ka-Pha it lies 28 km east of Sivasagar. You can visit the dome-shaped sacred burial ground known as 'maidams' of Ahom kings and queens at Charadeo. It is similar to the pyramid of Egypt.
- JAYSAGAR TANK AND TEMPLES: The Jaysagar tank was built by king Rudra Singha in 1697 in memory of his mother Jaya or Jaymati. She sacrificed her life to save her husband from the evil king Lora Raja. On its bank are three highly revered temples - Joydol, Shivdol and Devidol. Joysagar tank is believed to be the largest man-made lake in India, sprawls over 318 acres on the edge of Sivasagar town. Boating facility is also available here. Another highlight is the Ahom Museum on the bank of the Joysagar Lake, which houses artefacts of the Ahom rulers, which include clothes, swords, manuscripts, goblets and platters.
- GAURISAGAR TANK AND TEMPLES: The Gaurisagar tank was built by queen Phuleshwari Devi. It is also a very large man-made tank located in the heart of the city. Standing on its bank are three temples - Vishnudol, Shivdol and Devidol.
- RUDRASAGAR TANK AND TEMPLE: The Rudrasagar tank was built by king Lakshmi Singha in memory of his father king Rudra Singha in 1773. It is a magnificent tank with a small Shiva temple located in one of its corners. The temple complex and very calm and serene.

NAMDANG STONE BRIDGE: The Namdang bridge, cut out from a single solid rock over the Namdang river, was constructed by king Rudra Singha in 1703. Today, the National Highway 37, passes over this bridge.
