State Transport buses are available to Ziro from Itanagar, Guwahati and Lakhimpur. Daily night bus service is available to Ziro from Guwahati which generally starts at 6 pm from ISBT Guwahati. Tata sumos are also available from Itanagar, Lakhimpur and Daporijo.
There are several roads leads to reach Ziro valley.The nearest railhead is located at Naharlagun, which is located at a distance of 105km from Hapoli, the central place of Ziro. You can hire a cab from Naharlagun to reach Ziro. Another nearing rail station is located at Harmoti (North Lakhimpur), which is located at a distance of 118km.
Guwahati to ziro train service Arunachal Express is available from New Bongaigaon to both the stations.
Another major railhead is Guwahati railway station which is well connected with all the Major cities of India.
For those traveling by air, the nearest airport to Ziro is Itanagar airport. Another nearest airports are Lilabari Airport and Tezpur Airport in Assam.
