Best Time to visit Mechukha


Summer time in Mechukha starts from the month of March and remains till May. The temperature in summer rarely goes above 35 degree Celsius. In the month of March and April Mopin festival is also celebrated which make Mechuka a favourite destination for summers. Monsoon in Mechukha usually starts from the month of June and continues till September.However, temperature remains twenties but it is not advisable to visit Mechukha Valley in Monsoon season, as storms followed by heavy to medium rainfall is quite expectable in monsoon.


Being surrounded by wide Himalayan range, winters are the best time to visit Mechukha Valley. Enchanting snow covered peaks along with snow fall can be enjoyed during winters. Losar festival in the month of February is also a great reason to book a holiday package to MechukhaValley during winters.

How to reach Mechukha Valley

By Air

Mohanbari Airport in Dibrugarh, Assam is the nearest airport to Michukha. Another nearby airports are in the Lakhimpur which is around 420 km from Mechuka. The nearest international airport (800 kilometers from Mechukha) is in Guwahati, Assam. For further journey from these airports, you can hire a cab with us.

By Railways

Simen Chapari in Assam is the nearest railway station to reach Mechukha. This railway station is just 134 kilometers from Mechukha, so it's a great idea to hire a cab from Simen Chapri and enjoy the bliss of nature adorned all over the way.

By Road

Being well connected to the adjacent places by roads, it is quite convenient to reach Mechukha through road. You can take a bus or book a cab from Along to Mechukha and keep delighting your eyes with beautiful villages, roads and landscapes.

Wakro, the paradise for solitude seekers, is a small town in Lohit district. With beautiful orange gardens, hospitable inhabitants and unseen scenic beauty, Wakro is a tranquil and charismatic destination. At the top of a hill in Wakro circle, "Glow Lake" is situated.
