Bomdila is a stunning quaint hill station situated on the lap of Himalayan mountain ranges, at a height of about 8000 ft. above the sea level. It served as the headquarter of West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh. Bomdila Tourism offers brilliant landscape and pristine scenic view of snow-capped Himalayan range. The view of roaming clouds at the top of the Nechipu Pass can be easily seen from Bomdila View Point. Nechipu Pass, Kangto and Gorichan peaks also located near Bomdila.

Sessa Orchid Sanctuary is another place worth a visit located on the way of Tezpur to Bomdila near Tipi. Which houses around 1000 different varieties of Orchids. Spend time in the pleasant atmosphere amidst the bouquet of orchids is a pleasant experience.

Summer season in Bomdila

Months of summer starts from May to June. June is the hottest month of summers. The temperature stays within a comfortable range of 20-32ºC during that time.

Monsoon season in Bomdila

Rains are quite frequent in Bomdila. The monsoons prevail from the months of July to September. The scenic beauty of the region is at its best during the monsoon season.

Winter season in Bomdila

By Air

The nearest airport to Bomdila is at Tezpur, which is located at a distance of 300 km. The airport at Tezpur is connected to Kolkata and Silchar by weekly flights. By Railways

Bomdila does not have its own railway station and the nearest railway station is at North Lakhimpur(Assam), which is located at a distance of 118km. Which is connected by Arunachal Express from New Bongaigaon via Guwahti. Another major railhead is Guwahati railway station which is well connected to the Major cities of India.

By Road

State Transport buses are available to Bomdila from Itanagar and Laxhimpur(Assam). Tata sumos are also available from Itanagar (320 km), Lakhimpur (310 km) and Daporijo (168 km).
