How to reach

By Road: Mawlynnong village is 90 km away from Shillong city, the capital of Meghalaya. Shared taxi and private cabs are available from Shillong city to reach Mawlynnong village.

Shared taxi service is available from Khasi Hills Sumo stand located near Bara Bazaar market. From there it takes around 2 hours to reach the village. Private taxis are also readily available from your hotel or Shillong city to Mawlynnong. If you want to visit Dawki along with Mawlynnong by a private taxi it will cost around 3000 rupees. By Rail: The nearest railhead is Guwahati Railway Station. It takes around 5 hrs to reach Mawlynnong village from Guwahati. Cabs are available from Guwahati railway station to Mawlynnong.
