During our last trip to Sikkim, no other place caught my attention more than the snow-coveredYumthang valley. Snowflakes dropping after heavy snowfall from the pine tree and mind-blowing hilarious twist and turns in every corner make the road enchanting. Lachung to Yumthang valley to Zero Point, this 50-kilometre stretch is a whole package in itself. In this small stretch, you can glimpse a rhododendron tree in full bloom with vivid colours red, yellow, purple, maroon, to many more. The whole valley is carpeted with purple colored small shrubs in every corner, in a backdrop of snow mountains. Pristine beauties in every corner blessed Yumthang as an unmissable place in your itinerary during spring.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not only the valley of flowers, once you cross the green belt pine trees covered with snowfall come into view, a wonderful scene of snowy mountains and blue sky. Zero Point or Yumesamdong<\/h2>\n

Further up of 23 KM from Yumthang valley reaches the last civilization point in India known as Yumesamdong. Since civilization are not allowed to cross this point it is also famous as Zero Point. It was remain frozen and covered with snow most of the year.\u00a0 Visitors are allowed to visit this point from mid or March or April after snow is cleared from the approaching road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
