Celebrated on the Assamese New Year’s Day on the 14th of April, this festival heralds the arrival of spring. It is one of the best festivals in Northeast India. This festival lasts for 7 days.\u00a0 On the first day, Garu Bihu<\/em> is celebrated, and on the 2nd day, Manuh Bihu<\/em> is celebrated. Men and women perform Husari<\/em> and celebrate the whole week.\u00a0 People enjoy various dishes made from rice and Jalpan during this festival.<\/p>\n
